In close collaboration with the Marlee team, we designed and executed a series of performance experiments to test the impact of channel and journey alignment. Beginning with paid search, we honed in on specific high-intent needs, like “how to resolve conflict in my team”, and aligned the experience from ad click to app interaction.

Challenge.
Marlee wanted to test new acquisition channels while improving the performance of their existing website experience. The goal was to target high-intent user needs, like resolving team conflict or improving communication, and deliver personalised journeys that converted at a higher rate. At the same time, it was crucial to maintain quality and ensure that new users achieved meaningful value within the app.

Solution.
We created targeted landing pages tailored to specific problems users were searching for, and personalised the onboarding experience to match their intent. The signup flow was adapted to reinforce relevance, and the in-app experience was tailored to guide users quickly toward insights that matched their original goals.
The result was a cost per acquisition of under $2 for new users from paid search, along with a 5% increase in signup rates from landing pages and a 3% improvement in AHA moments — defined as users receiving personalised insights or creating a dashboard.
The insights gained from this campaign were then applied across other sections of the website, demonstrating the potential for further performance enhancements across organic and referral traffic.
